I was wondering is there a better way to program AV3000 to do all of the functions of the KV-34HS510.

Right now I have presets on my remote to access Video 1, 2, 3, and 4. How would I add 5, 6, 7 when they are not on my original remote?

You can do this several ways. The easiest way is to make 3 macro’s, one with video 4 and one tv/tuner button for video 5, one with video 4 and two tv/tuner buttons for video 6, and one with video 4 and three tv/tuner buttons for video 7.

If you want them on the tv screen, you will either have to make micro-macros or use discrete codes.

To make a micro-macro you will need another learning remote. You would then teach the video 4 and the tv/input commands from the 3000 to it. Then, you would put the 3000 in learn mode, hold the other remote opposite, and quickly press the video 4 button and the tv input button (once would be for video 5, twice would be for video 6, and 3 times would be for video 7). Four commands are hard to get into the 3000 but can be done with some practice. Also, with another learning remote, if you want to move video 1-4 labels from their present locations, you can teach them to the remote and relearn them on the 3000 in a place of your choosing.

To use discrete codes, you will need an RS/OFA remote with access to discrete codes.
