I use the AV-3000 on a Sony TV, Sony DVD and Sony stereo-amp. When I am playing the DVD, the volume control changes volume on the TV but I need it to change volume on the stereo-amp instead. I know I can change the default volume for all inputs to the stereo-amp, but can I change it for just the DVD? I don't want to change it for regular TV and satelite. Thanks.

Just teach the volume commands from your stereo amp remote to the volume buttons on the DVD component. You will have to also turn off the volume on your TV, either by menu function, or by muting which is not as good because then you will probably have the "muting" indicator showing on the tv screen.

Thanks. I didn't know you could "teach" the hard buttons like the Volume. The TV volume is not a problem because I only connected the audio (digital) from the DVD to the AMP, and didn't connect audio from DVD to TV.
