I'm not a rookie with audio/video equipment but I'm also not an expert. How easy is it to actually read and understand the manual and to program the remote with both the codes and the "learned functions"? Also, if you use one of the pre-programmed codes how do you know which functions are set and which you have to teach the remote?
Thanks for your time.

It's pretty easy to program. Nothing complicated involved. When programming, the screen flashes. Buttons that you've LEARNED stay lit. Buttons that are pre-programmed (that you can overwrite) flash every time. Buttons that have no code attached flash every other time.
