Haven't been able to find the answer to this one. When the sound is muted on my RCA TV, it shows 'mute' on the OSD with no timeout for as long as the sound is muted. To switch audio to home theater, I therefore have to turn the TV volume down, rather than mute. Can I program the AV2000 to transmit a 'volume down' signal for a (say) 5 second period?

To clarify, I want to be able to turn the volume down as part of a 'macro' sequence.

No, there's no way to tell it to send "volume down for 5 seconds". That's even missing from the Pronto!

I don't know if RCA televisions do this, but a technique I've used on my Sony TV on 2 different universals (including the AV2000) is to create a macro that goes through the menus and turns the internal speakers of the TV off, thereby only having audio output on the line outs.

Bingo!
I should have thought of it, but I didn't. Buried in the RCA sound settings is a 'speakers on/off' setting. That looks like the answer to my problem! I hadn't thought of that. Kaz, you're a star! Thank you.
