Anyone know what's going on with these two channels. I get roughly 21 DTV OTA chanels in Richmond Hill. of these I get 43-8 and 43-9. They're black screens but have strong signal, so what gives? Are these placeholders for new channels? I read a post from someone asking the same questions in 2004, but he didn't get a reply.

Anyone know the answer? Thanks.

43 is WNED. I've heard reports of some users "getting" those channels, but usually with unique equipment.

They're not supposed to show up in scans, and there's nothing to see there. Seems to be the result of a not-100% perfect PSIP configuration on their part.

or maybe not a 100% perfect PSIP implementation on the receiver end if it happens only with some receivers and not all. both of my tuners get WNED PSIP info ok.

True... could be an non-standards issue on either side. I haven't seen this on my standalone or the Pinnacle tuner I reviewed.

One of those sub-channels should be the UpdateTV datacasting service, which is distributed by PBS affiliates.
