oh yeah! I will be watching the fight for free in HD, almost live , on TV Azteca HD (SatMex 5 @ 113W I think). Since yesterday they had several programs with documentaries and stuff about both boxers and the event. No one is a match for pacquiao but it should be a good fight.

Are you saying you can not access that website anymore? or is it the files are not available anymore?. I can still access the website no problem. BTW , welcome.

Yah , Outside north america has no longer an access as per notice everytime I log in. there is a notice maybe they discriminate filipinos like me. Our congressman and boxer win the 8 titles. thanks to greatest american trainer of all time Freddie Roach. Manny can now build a hospital in his province of Sarangani which has no hospital in the area. People are poor and rebel Muslim lnfested area.

I already started constructing my double Gray Hoverman and the homemade preamplifier ADL 5602 (thanks to serndipity of Lumen...) for this antenna.

There are few sites besides digitalhome.ca, that display GH designs and are accessible from everywhere ( as far as I know).

JED's site: http://www.jedsoft.org/fun/antennas/dtv/gh.html
my GH site: http://clients.teksavvy.com/~nickm/gh_n_uV.html

with google one can also find few good sites with building instructions.

I realize this is kind of a dead thread...  perhaps there's a better place to inquire?

My favorite, but somewhat distant, PBS station switched to UHF 14 (probably having been told that the lower the frequency, the better...)

However, most UHF antenna designs roll off at the end frequencies, including GH.  (Maybe the station engineer would have have gone for a channel in the low 20s???)

I'm wondering if there is a design shift that will move the gain curve down in frequency, say 200 MHz so RF channel 14 will be near the top of the curve.  (I only care about RF14, other channels are on the cable.)

If I remember right, Hoverman in his original design gave a couple of equations to move his design to higher frequencies...

Thanks!

John E Davis (jedsoft.org)  has several antennas based on gray-hoverman.  It appears that the frequency can be adjusted by altering all dimensions by the ratio of new/old frequency.

Look at [Link: jedsoft.org] and search for the heading "A Narrow-Band Hoverman"

I have had a number of requests for this antenna for use at other frequencies. If you want to adapt this design for use at a frequency other than 575 MHz, then simply scale the geometric measurements in the tables below by 575 MHz divided by the desired frequency. For example, to use the antenna at 525 MHz, multiply all the measurements by 575/525 = 1.095. In this case, a value such as 300mm in the table would become 329mm, or 12 and 15/16 inches. This scaling applies to all the numbers.
