Hi guys, this is really starting to annoy me, my problem is that i already set my code on the tv using the remote with the code 173, oh btw my tv is a sharp. I dunno whats wrong but only thing that works on the remote when im using it on the tv is the numbers i can change to different channels and the mute button... THATS ALL! so its really wierd i cant even turn the tv off or on with the remote, i have to do it manually. What im now trying to do is bring up the menu screen on the tv so i can fix the color and brightness because when im playing my ps2 and certain games the screen is really dark and i cant see whats going on, but that doesnt even work, so if someone can help me out, take me step by step, i would really appreciate it, thanks.

We have an RCA System Link 3, and I can't set it using codes at all.

I have to press the Device button, then hold down the Code Search button while
pressing the On/Off button until the device turns on.

Everything works on mine except the Previous Channel button, but that's good
enough for me.

Try using a different code for your device, cause that sometimes works.

I've had that experience.

what do you mean by device button?

It's the buttons pertaining to the TV, VCR, Cable, DVD, etc.

You have to push one of those buttons before you setup each one.
