Well, I don't know about *that*... it controlled my system just fine, though I would prefer they changed a few things on it. As a remote control it is more than capable.

That's about the most rediculous response I have ever seen...how can you make such a blanket statement "Waste of money" and "Dont" buy just because you had difficulty programming your components? I have a fairly complex setup, nultiple inputs devices, multiple recording devices, tied into my PC, and running all my X10 components AND my wife operates them with no problem.
I think it's fantastic!
BUY TWO..just for spite!

I'm more than happy with mine. Most of my stuff being Marantz equipment of which all the remotes were stollen a few years back. Take Control has done a wonderful job of being able to "control things remotely again". Even my Marantz DCC player works like a charm considering that it is not listed as a supported device. Just configured it as a DAT and all was well.
Of course there are things that could be improved and surely will for future buyers, but for me it has served its purpose time and again.

Look at the Web site or call the Tech support line to find out what equipment will not work with the remotecontrol. It does not have the ability to spit out some crazy IR frequencies out there. Lexicon, and some Pioneer equipment. Some Kenwood gear also will not work. I like MIne, And I find it a great relief VS 12 remotes under my coffee table. Plus, I saved about 2000+ compared to the other really good control systems.

Got mine a few months ago and it is worth its weight in gold! Although none of my equipment matched the database, TC learned everything I needed in about 1/2 hour.
I put away 6 remotes!

For the kind of money, it is definitely doing what it was designed to. Asking everyone not to buy it just because it did not work with your equipment is not fair. How about letting us know EXACTLY which equipment of yours it failed to control?
Incidentally, I do not work for Microsoft or Harman/Kardon.

Will these controllers work with Proscan and harman/Kardon equipment even when not listed? Do they supply updates frequently so that you don't have to sit and teach...;-} learn your remote all evening?
Thanks
