I have been looking at the database and configuration files for the TC1000. It appears that the config file is editable. Has anyone had luck with editing this file? Can you manipulate the device screens by doing this (ie. consolidate buttons and placement on screens)? Has anyone had success manipulating the DAT file? Can you backup the config file and simply sysnc to it if you lose the file?

Thanks for your replys in advance.

Love this remote!

Peter,

I have been able to edit the file directly, and then sync it with my TC1000 with some success. I haven't tried it with the 1.5 version software, so be carefull, but as long as you make a copy of the file first you should be OK. Make sure you select the "overwrite TC1000 with PC configuration" option from the advanced box on the sync dialog screen. Let me know how you get on...

What would be really great is if some clever bod out there could explain the IR code syntax to us. Then we could program discrete IR codes into the remote without having to learn them, as Pronto users can already do.
Can anyone help us ? I'm quite a technical person, but haven't got a clue about IR transmission. It just looks like a line of numbers to me :-)

Regards,
Leigh.
