Hiya...I've poked around the reviews here for a bit and I'm really surprised by the (appearent) number of choices for Tivo control...i tried looking for something a year ago and came up empty. i'm looking for up-to-date recommendation on a remote that will handle: Hughs Series II DirecTivo Kenwood 1080VR ( five devices total )
The rest of my stuff is generic enough that I'm not too worried about it. The Kenwood's getting kinda old - not sure if that causes problems for newer remotes or not.
The other priority is working this remote in a non-line of sight fashion - tho fairly close distance.
I'm assuming I get an IR remote and a secondary IR-2-RF converter but whatever.
Budget is around $175 with RF functions.

You don't have to spend that much unless you want to. The Radio Shack 15-2117 and One For All URC-9910 will both do what you want.
