If this came with a component, like a TV or VCR, please give the exact model number of the component.

I also have the same remote and would like to reconfigure it. The component model number that came with the remote is RV-9953A. Thanks in advance.

First I did a Google search which told me that the RV-9953A is actually an Audio Receiver, then I tried finding the manual for it on the RCA web site, but unfortunately, they've taken down alot of the info that used to on their site, so i couldn't find it at all.

I came across one of these RCA Universal Remotes myself. It says on the top of the back side that it was "Made in China" and it is a "Remote Transmitter". Taking off the battery compartment lid, these numbers are printed inside;
CRK67G2
2G21030-07A
RWB 233998

I'd appreciate any help in getting this remote programmed, or finding a site that has instructions.

I obtained a very similar remote, CRK 67G1. So far I can program it by holding down the TV (or other) button and entering the code from the RCA code list (sorry, I forgot how I found it, but the codes for many RCA remotes seem to be the same). I have it working on a TV and two VCR's. But the RCA list that I found did not include other hardware codes, like DVDs or Sat's. Now I need to know how to do a code search. No luck on trial and error yet.

I Had The Same Problem with the same receiver...I discovered that the remote CKE67G1 Is the correct remote for RV-9935A but I still couldn't find the manual for it. I did find was a manual for RV-9900 and that model used the same remote so the instructions on programming the remote in that users manual are the correct instructions for the RV-9935a.You can download it from here: [Link: retrevo.com]

If you look at the manual for a CRK67A1, it is essentially the same remote. You can find a manual for it, with programming instructions along with all the codes at [Link: pdfstream.manualsonline.com]

I suspect you may have found an answer or given up in the last 17 years since you originally posted, but perhaps this will help others.
