For anyone with a 9000ES pre-amp and remote:

I am curious what people think about this remote?

I have it, and think it is OK, certainly not great. I've read the book twice and still can't figure out how to add customized remote commands from remotes that are not pre-progrtammed (maybe I just don't know how to read very well).

Any good tips for this remote?

If you mean "learning" commands from other remotes, that remote can't do it. If it's not pre-programmed you can't control it! :-P

It has it's limitations. You can set the preamp for one way as well as two way remotes. The sony rmv-2000 is fully programable and can run 3 macros. But the new marantz 5000 seems like the only real replacement
