I am experiencing the 'DTS' problem where my lables have 'DTS' infront of what I want them to show.

I have read all about it on this forum but have not been able to find a workaround with ProntoEdit.

However, labling the buttons using the Pronto works EXCEPT!! The first (left most) button is used as a 'Done' button when changing the lables, so there isn't any way to change the lable of that button.

Is there ANY other way around this?

Jon

Goto the device properties page and select the button to lable. You will see the button label entry area will turn white. type the name in that area.

But thats the problem.. There is a well described 'bug' where you get a string of 'DTS' logos in front of what ever you type using ProntoEdit.

From what I have read, the only way to get around this is to label the hard-buttons directly on the Pronto, but in the case of the 1st button under the screen, you can't because its the 'done' button!

Correct me if I am wrong but the DTS problem only surfaces when you label with symbols right? Regular text labels are ok so maybe use text instead?

Ahha. You are right... I will use text instead for now.

I have found that as long as I set a label and close the window, its OK.. But if I select that button again, the 'DTS' symbol is added..

So, as long as I just clear the label, type a new one and never select a one of the hard buttons under 'device properties' again, the label stays without the DTS.

Thanks for the tip about using text... I can use ASCII chars instead (i.e >> >| etc)
