Been a few years since I was in here..
that was back its eh days i had an RU970

now I have just been given a TSU300 and a TSU 500.

Can see the IR emitters blasting away on the TSU500, but the 3000.....nothin g.
but no response from the screen.

Do the touch screens on these things fail?

Not got out my old laptop yet..2004 Sony ..that has my Pronto Edit on it.

Wil have a play later..but for now, was touch screen failure an issue. or is there a screen lock / hard button combo I need to do to unlock the screen.  It powers up with fresh batteries, it bleeps.  screen icons appear..but no response for touching the screen.

The touchscreen started failing on my TSU7000, I disassembled and simply reseated the connections, and it's been working fine ever since. Might be something that simple

I agree. There should be some disassembly instructions here on the site. The 3000 and 7000 steps are very much the same as they use the same case.

Sorry for the late reply ..I must have lost the e-mail notification settings.

I did take it apart..connections look good. //did only see two ribbon cables.


To take the screen off looks like a soldering job and bending some tabs.

Will leave that for another day.

It is a freebie that came out of an executive jet from years ago.

Just got a used RU970 on its way from E-bay..
And the little Neo is doing what I want for now on the HomeVision controller.
