My new LG TV and other streaming apps may finally kill my trusty TSU7000s. Hulu and some others are using a long press to get to simple things that could easily be done without having to hold the button and don’t get me started on why oh why do you need a special button like OK, select or enter or play or pause when the highlighted item can only do one thing.
I’m guessing there is no way to get the long press to work with a TSU7000?
I also have an issue with the Amazon Prime app. With the TVs remote a quick right or left arrow press gets you a 10 second jump but on the TSU7000 it jumps into fast forward mode.

There is a way to do this but it is not ideal for reasons I describe below.
Simply adjust the 'Duration' of the IR code. I believe that the 7000 had that feature added.
The issue you may find is that in cases where you need a quick-press vs a long-press, you may have to create 2 buttons and for the one you need the long press on, adjust the IR Code on that button to a longer 'Duration'.
F1 help in PPENG will likely give you some pointers.

Not sure what the default is but setting the minimum duration to 0.18 seems to have fixed the Amazon Prime app quick right or left. I guess that is still less than the default?
But I don't see how the long OK works on Hulu. Even a 10 second 'Duration' did not work. Like the TV remote has less time before sending the code again and the TSU7000 takes too long.

The Hulu could be sending possibly 2 different codes for a short vs long press.
The only way to tell is to start learning on the Pronto but block the Hulu remote (using hand or cardboard) from sending to Pronto until such time as the long press would take effect. At that point, unblock the Hulu remote and see if what you learn will work.

That sounds like it could be the issue and I’d love to have tried it but Hulu change that horrible part of their clunky interface. :)
