Hello everybody.
New member here. First universal remote. First post to this forum, will probably not consider a lot of things most of you take for granted so I apologise in advance for any "thud and blunders" I might make.
I'm in the UK. I have an RU960. I've also got a Sony RDR-HXD560 HD/DVD and my pronto fails to learn any of the commands from sony's original remote (RMT-D234P).
My other controls map over just fine. I'm assuming that the IR freq's are out of range for the pronto. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

HA! M42TYN YOU FOOL!!! now i really DO feel stoopid... i changed the angle of the remote and the codes started getting learnt. I think swapping hands over did as much as anything. having the target remote in different light conditions did the trick...
Right - thats the last you'll be hearing from me with any more silly problems!

Don't feel bad. There are times when I can't think of the answer to a problem that I should know until I ask someone else. Then the answer usually comes to me.

Ah yes... thankyou.
I'm sure i can come up with something equally cringeworthy. Give me some time and i'll see what i can do. The codes seem ok now - a little experimentation with angles and distances solved the problem and kept me out of trouble for an hour or two.
Meanwhile I'm borrowing heavily from DTs gallery and spending some time tarting up my display.
Kind regards - - Martyn
