I just ordered and received (on 10/31/05) my second 3000 from www.outlet.philips.com. I dropped the first one and cracked the screen. What is the first thing that I do? I log onto www.pronto.philips.com and download the latest firmware (ver.3.6.7) and then upload it to the remote. Now my Pronto can’t get past the first calibration point. Five minutes out of the box and it becomes a paperweight.

Hey Philips, Pronto Team, how are you allowing this to happen?

I am on my fourth Pronto, two 1000s and now two 3000s. I have Pronto remotes in seven friend’s and family’s homes. That is over $3000 worth of equipment. All of those remotes programmed by me and wouldn’t be in those homes if it weren’t for me selling them on the Pronto.

Philips, you are about to lose my business for the rest of my life. I am 31 years old.

New remote every three years times eight people for forty years=OVER $42,000.00.

Maybe some Harmony is in my future?

How are you trying to calibrate? Many, many people calibrate just fine. See the FAQs and use a sharp object like an unfolded paper clip to calibrate. Also, you have to be very precise.

David,

With only 5 posts under your belt, I have to ask...

Did you search for the last 2 years on

+calibration +error
or
+calibrate +error
