Hi all,

I will be getting my 3000 tomorrow and from what I have read so far, I am looking forward to it!!

My 1000 ccf is activity-based, from the home page, with several "what-is-on" test pages. This makes it very easy for my wife to operate.

After reading most of the posts in this forum, I am getting the impression the home page concept in the 3000 is different? Is the Device screen the actual home page? Can I create my pcf to look and operate like my 1000? I thought I read something from Archer, indicating he has a start button to get from the "opening" page to his actual home page?

Thx - Dave

I would say that the home page concept is mostly the same. The device overview screen replaces the 1000's pull-down device menus.

However, one quirk is that the 3000 does not boot to the home page - it boots to the device overview. Another quirk is that the home page does not have a default access button in the onscreen UI - although it does have a hard button "dedicated" to it. If you don't want to use the hard button for that purpose, you will have to create our own touchscreen button somewhere.
