Hello!

I got my kameleon up and running for 6 month now.
I am very pleased with it, but I think it is to sensitive for the "Light Turn On".

I have to change battery every month.
Is it possible to change the sensitive for the remote control or even remove the sensor??

Yep, open it up and remove the sensor! I did on mine and now the batteries last about 3-4 months with fairly high usage. Now I just have to touch the screen to make it wake up and no more false ons.

I've heard that having an adult male African Elephant step on it works equally as well. :>0

Me too! Please tell me how to do that.

Just open it up,(this is the toughest part) pressing in and apart at the plastic base where it connects to the metal frame. Using some old strips cut from an unused credit card, and "walk" around the edge using the strips in place to hold it open. (see the next post)
Once open, looking at the board with LED pointing away from you, you will see a small 1/2"x1/8"x1/8" silver rectangle box on the right side about midway down. Carefully cut one end and lift it up slightly.
Snap it back together and put the batteries back in and you are done.

yep, this is very easy to do. seriously increases battery life, as you have to press a key to wake it up. The motion sensor was killing me as this is my bedroom remote and i often fell asleep with it next to me.:-)

Thanks for the info . Removing the sensor was a snap. Once you slide off the bottom plastic base you can slide the circuit board and blue cover out and snip sensor. No plastic strips necessary. Why its in there to begin with I'll never know.
