A customer had complained that his old TS3000 (black and white) would shut down after anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes , and the only way to get it to work was to take out the batteries, put them back in , and the same thing would happen again unless kept entering commands.
I installed the latest operating system and it now works. Did anyone ever hear of this or know why this happens?
Thanks

I don't claim to be an expert, but my RC3200 will occasionally stop responding to either the touchscreen or the hard buttons. I can usually get it to wake up by pressing the other: i.e., press the touchscreen if it's not responding to the hard buttons or vice versa.
Occasionally, it locks up hard enough that this technique won't work, and I have to resort to pulling the batteries. If the remote gets into this state, it usually tips me off by keeping the backlight on indefinitely (I have it set to a 3-second turnoff).
Hope that helps.
