Hi, everybody I've been lurking around here for the past 6 to eight months or so. I wanted a universal remote and bought an harmony 880. While it is a nice peice of equipment and does a lot of really cool things, it dosen't quite do what I want. So I have bought a mx-3000. I have been reading and seem to be able to get it to work, for the most part, I just have a couple of questions. 1. is there a way to upload files from other urc remotes that you don't own, and convert them to a file that the mx can load? The mx editor has a great data base, but i cant seem to find a couple of item, that i have found on other urc 700-750 files. one is the pelican hd selector 2nd is the panasonic 300 projector and the third is the sony dvp995. maybe some one could point me in the correct direction. 2 Thank you Damon for all the info, at least I know if i totally give up and throw in the towel there is someone out there that can porgram this beast for me steve

In the MX-3000 Editor, the Universal Browser (Tools menu), you can open a .mxf, .mxa or .ccf file and copy (drag and drop) learned IR codes to a button in your MX-3000 config.

I don't think you can directly use .mxd files in the MX-3000 Editor. You can create a .mxf file from the .mxd by using the MX-700/MX-800/MX-850 Editor by: 1. Create a new empty configuration 2. Right click on Main in the tree structure in the left panel and choose Import Device. 3. In the file dialog that appears, choose the .mxd file. 4. The Import Device dialog appears and click on the device name in the Available Device(s) panel, click on the > button and click the OK button in the Device Assign panel that pops up. 5. Click the Save button and you should now see the device in the tree structure. 6. Save the .mxf file and use that in the MX-3000 Editor Universal Browser to copy the IR codes.
