Hi! I'm running a problem with 1 of 6 MX3000's. They are all running the same & updated program, but this one seems to freeze every now and then - pressing several times the exit key puts it back on. Sometimes the freeze is so hard that I have to take the battery off! Weird... any thoughts? Thanks all & cheers, ric

Ric, Try downloading an empty program to the remote. After that, upload the program from another remote, save it, and download it to the problem remote. That should do the trick. Let me know if that helps. Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = Authorized Online Dealer & Remote Programming Services

Hi Damon, Finally, today I could try out your tip. It seems to be working but... (as always) now MX3000 seems to loose the calibration settings whenever it "sleeps" and wakes up by a change in the angle. Maybe the freeze I mentioned before was this problem of loosing the settings?! weird... I removed & re-inserted the battery with the new program but the behaviour was exactly the same. Probably, this unit has some malfunction. Any ideas? Thanks once again. ric

Ric, That's strange. I haven't had an MX-3000 lose it's calibration on me just when it goes into sleep mode. You should call URC and ask if they can check your program with one of their MX-3000s to see if they have the same problem. Before you do that, be sure you do a live update to make certain you have the latest version of the MX Editor. Hi all, Today I got back to update our program on the MX3000 (editor updated to 1.2.140 -- with repeat on and settings to 1, 1). The "freezes" were still appearing and usually, after I picked up the controller, and went straight to control the vol up & down of the amp, I got the MX3000 to freeze. The funny thing, as I mentioned earlier, the bug only affected gif buttons and the only way to stop the freeze would be to press either any panel key on the right side of MX3000 (cursor, select, menu or exit). Now, the learned lesson: -- Freezes occured with some learned codes to control the zoom on a Sony camara (D100) and codes taken from URC database to control a Pionner amp (VSX-D714). -- I tested today the volume up & down with learned codes instead of the ones taken from the database -- it worked! no more freezes!!! Don't fully trust the database :> -- I still have to repeat the learning codes for the zoom to clear the bugs but it seems that some codes while repeating, freeze the controller. Try to repeat the process of learning them. Sorry for the long post. Oh! I'm still waiting for an answer to this prob from URC. Cheers, ric
