Whenever I hold down FF or Rew (while playing a tape) to view while cueing on my 9000 controlling my Sony VCR, my RC goes nuts. If my display reads VCR, then the screen rapidly flashes between VCR and RESET and it will cue for a half second then play then cue for half a second then play then... If my display says A_VCR then it will cue for about two seconds then change the display to AUDIO. I noticed that 25% of the buttons when in VCR mode will do this same VCR/RESET thing, but the rest are fine.

It's as if the remote thinks I'm trying to reprogram it by holding the button down.

Any clues?

I'd try using a different Sony code myself. Could be batteries going bad too. Mine starts to act up with the batteries get low.

If the LCD reads RESET and the remote control is acting up, this is always an indicator that the batteries are getting weak. If you change the batteries, the remote will act as it should.

Thanks, fellas! I'll replace the batteries when I get home tonight.
