I recently found out that the XBOX360 is in the library of predefined IR codes (AUX/microsoft/...) and for the 360 there is two codes labeled "POWER" ... Is this the same IR sequence or is one of them power on and the other power off? Anyone tried it with an 360?

They are not discrete codes. I am using those IR codes, but have setup a variable on my MX-3000 to essentially act a discrete on/off.

I don't get it. I've tried learning the IR code for power toggle, I've used the preprogrammed IR codes (both of them) and they all work sporadically.

I've tested changing the repeat time from 3 to 6 to 10 to 15, but that didn't make any difference.

What am I doing wrong? The original remote works fine with just a short press on the powerbutton, but the MX3000 won't work, nomatter how long or short repeat I have. It just won't work properly.

Is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else had problem with controlling the xbox 360? If so, could you post/email me your setup so I can copy the IR and test it?

Getting kinda annoyed here since it messes up the macros quite a bit when the power on doesn't power on the 360.

Try this: In your macro, immediately before the power command for the 360 put in a generic command like scroll up. I am pretty sure that the way the 360 handles toggle bit commands is what is giving you a hard time with your macros. The generic command before the power command sort of lines up the remote with the 360. It's definitely worth a shot. Oh, make sure you use the codes from the database. In a macro they're more reliable than the learned codes.

Okay, I worked on this for a while last night and it's not as simple as I thought. Mr Worf, I sent you an e-mail. If you want the macro sequences for power on/off that worked for me just reply to my e-mail.
