Mike: As others have expressed, I am glad you are contributing to this forum on RemoteCentral.com. But, is there no one in your company that can take the initiative that you have, who might have a little more information or the authority to send Daniel a preview of the software, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that you are taking this on yourself, without much help from higher ups. We certainly appreciate that. But, doggone-it, UEI can SELL REMOTES by contributing to this forum!!!! Ask Uli from Crisp Solutions!!!

Uli is gonna smoke you guys with the 616 if someone doesn't start updating us more frequently and with more and better answers. Again, Mike, your comments and updates are appreciated, but it seems that you aren't getting the support you need.

Greg :-)

P.S. I'm emailing this to you, so please feel free to forward this to your superiors!!!

Here, here!

From all of us, Greg, thank you. Now, do we have any betting folks willing to lay odds on a *meaningful* response? :^)

Greg: At this point we can probably assume that one of the following is true:

(1) Mike does not visit this site regularly;
(2) Mike has been 'reminded' not to make things worse (i.e, even more embarrassing) for his bosses by attempting to communicate honestly with potential customers; or
(3) Mike has been fired for attempting to communicate honestly with potential customers.

Care to make a friendly wager as to what happened? I hope it's item 1. :^)

Okay, Paul, my man. I will wager that Mike is none of the above. His superiors put out a contract on him and he's a goner. Cause I emailed the same message to him.

I still think it's silly. Uli tells us when things are being "put back" or when the software has bugs, etc. But he does something about it!

I know. Mike IS UEI. He is making the remotes in his basement (and solder is in shortage in his area), printing out the manuals on his HPC printer, coding the software in his spare time, and has his son updating the website for him.

Other than that, I have no idea!!! LOL

BDM Awards?

Greg :-)

I know it's been a long time coming, but damn you guys whine more than my kids.

Either go buy a Pronto or just wait till they're in the stores (whenever that might be).

If you think it so easy to bring a product to market try doing it yourself.

BTW- I've never met a salesperson in my life that didn't lie to make an extra sale.

Jeff,

You're right. We should expect representatives of companies to lie to us, because that's real life. After all, who here doesn't lie to customers and our co-workers on a daily basis to get ahead? It's the American Way.

Our expectations are just too high...

I'll have some cheese with my whine, please!!!

Hey, Jeff! Lighten up! I'm just having a little fun with this situation. Sure, we can go and buy anything we want. I like the MX-1000. But, it's true that they could do a lot better job in customer relations. That being said..... I'm gonna wait until it comes out!

Ron: I hope you're joking!!!

Greg,

I always forget how badly sarcasm comes across in print. Yes, I was joking.

I'm glad I pre-ordered though - I'm starting to get hopeful again, a very dangerous proposition.

Ron, actually there's a rule around here among the marketing and sales people. "Don't let Eric talk to the customers, he's incapable of lying." :-)

Louis N. - or anyone who has an MX-1000.

Louis posted above that he has recently received his MX-1000. What are your comments on the product so far?

Thanks - Gordon

I got tired of the nonesense. My new B&K AVR307 came with an SL9000 preprogrammed for my receiver. It also works my Denon DVD3000, Toshiba CZ3299K Digital TV, JVC VCR, Pioneer 1090 LD, Sony DD DTV box, and Uniden DTV box perfectly. I don't need the MX-1000, and I suggest that you guys give up the quest too. I have never seen a better job of destroying a great brand name except for Firestone.
