I found this site like 6 months ago, and now they're taking preorders for the MX1000 for $219! I just ordered one, it looks like they actually will be shipping within a week or two! Universal Remote confirmed that, too!! WOOHOO BABY!

I emailed them and basically, they told me that they are finding products that they can offer for dirt cheap. They told me that the product line varies from month to month, that they've sold fishing equipment, software, MP3 Players, and remote controls. They are always an authorized dealer and just pick products that they can mark down to just above actual cost.

Anyway, I take it all with a grain of salt but I can't get burned by using a credit card, if the product doesn't come I don't pay!

My friend bought an SL-9000 from them a few months ago (they don't carry it anymore apparently), and she had no complaints.

You can still save another couple of bucks and go to www.universalremotecontrol.com (not the manufacturer) and get the mx-1000 for $225 shipped which is a couple of bucks less when you add shipping to the $219 price at www.eadeals.com .

I say go with, www.universalremotecontrol.com also. It is a very good place to order from. I just ordered a Sony AV2100 from them a few weeks ago, and they were a bit behind in shipping them out, BUT they gave me $10 back because of that. I consider that a vendor who cares about his customers when they do that without even asking them for it. I will buy from them again anytime, and in fact I am considering also getting the MX-1000 and they will have that sale also if I do.
And NO, I do not have any association with them, other than being a very satisfied customer. They treated me right, and I respect that.

It is September 9th - day two of C.E.D.I.A. in Indianapolis - and we will be getting our bulk of the MX-1000 within 10 days, and we will be fulfilling our backorders by the end of the month.

I did a search on www.universalremotecontrol.com &
www.eadeals.com in the forums and did not see anything
negative about either company. Do you remomber where
Phil? All comments seem to be good.

I am going to buy an MX1000, and started to buy from universalremotecontrol but, when I viewed their encryption certificate, found it was issued to wmsesolutions First Data Corporation of Alpharette, GA. I ran three different search engines on First Data of that city and found nothing. Makes me a little concerned to give them my credit card number.
