Hi
I just got my MX-500 and like it very much.
But i have a little problem with learning.
MX-500 cant learn right every button from my original remote.
When learning: LCD says 'good', OK.
When testing: First press shows the menu screen of my philips tv, OK. Second press should hide the menu but nothing happens. I need to press first some other button and then get back to menu button to hide it.
Just a few buttons act like that.
I have tried several learning methods.
Can somebody help?

That's the normal behavir for philips signals taught to a learning remote. Most philips gear suffer from a toggle bit. If the preprogrammed codes don't work, then out of luck.

Actually i found the answer.
I have few 'empty' buttons with no usage on original Philips remote.
When MX-500 is learning 'ready' press quickly, in my case ,'menu button and one of the empty button.
MX-500 can learn both codes in one button.
These little macros can be made for those problem buttons or every button you want.
Makes this remote even better:)
