Hello all,
I just bought the SL-9000 and I'm trying to get it to work with my Toshiba SD6109C integrated receiver/DVD player. It works just fine with my 32 inch JVC TV and my Hitachi VCR. I've been able to get most everything to work except I can't control the volume while I'm playing a DVD. I've attempted to have the SL-9000 learn the volume control from the Toshiba remote but it always fails. Can anyone help? Does anyone have any tips that use the 6109C? I'm new at this universal remote thing so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also just hooked up some Energy Take 5 speakers and I love them!

Thanks in advance,
Carter

So you cant get the remote to learn the volume signals any where? Try visiting the Tips & Tricks page for learning IR codes on this site, under the FEATURES section.

Hello,
No, actually it was only while playing a DVD. I did figure it out though. It turned out that with the Toshiba receiver/DVD combo you have to first search for for an audio code (275)and then use the preprogrammed DVD code. Walla, volume control while playing a DVD!

Now for a new question: I would like to program a button to turn on the receiver, and then the TV and set the TV channnel to 3. This is so my wife can do her aerobic video. I don't need to turn on the VCR because it automatically comes on when a tape is inserted. Here's the problem; I can get the remote to turn on the TV/VCR but not change the channel to 3. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Carter

Hello,
I figured out how to do it. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do. You need to be in SAT mode to be able to change channels. I love this remote!
