Well, I've had my order in for one of these since January. I returned the SL-9000 I received for Christmas in order to upgrade to the MX-1000. Like everyone I've been disappointed in the manufacturer's apparent inability to provide a realistic ship date. It was also surprising that their website still said "1st Quarter 2000" in June when they had just posted a message here saying their website is the one accurate source for shipping status. So I finally e-mailed them and got the following response on 6/15/00:

"Tim:

We just recently updated our website to reflect a release date of July. This
date is realistic, and we will notify you as to when we will be shipping your
order.

I hope this is proven out... I really do because if the SL-9000 is any indication, the MX-1000 will be awesome.
