I thought that this second of two threads that got Irclone started was an apt way to end it. The poll that BlueDo did on page one of this thread showed that about 60 people would be willing to buy Irclone. Since I had a batch of 100 that wasn't very encouraging. However in the last two years we have sold 1360 Irclone which is a whole lot better than anticipated. I have shipped Irclone to five habitable continents.
So thank you to all of our customers. I do hope, as many have emailed, that you continue to enjoy the product. I know that there have been some problem installations and I am sorry for that. I hope we did our best to get you up and running.
Rory Sulley's CCF2MX program helped us and you out a lot and I would like to thank him very much for creating that and making it freely available.
DavePar's, MX500learn is also a great program and I would also like to thank him for creating that and making it freely available.
Thanks to MikeSRC and BlueDo for distributing for us. If you need an Irclone they may have some.
Thanks also to Hutch for being a great beta tester and writing the original XP load instructions, to Derek K for figuring out the CRCC method, to GregoriusM for his encouragement and Daniel for letting us use this site to get going, storing the MX-500 files and allowing us to support our customers without complaining.
Is there a future for Irclone? I don't know. I have tested out a URC-200 and found that I can adapt the Irclone hardware to the slightly modified cloning process. It does take about 80 seconds to complete an up or download and the reason for that is there is about 10 times a much data in a URC-200 compared to the MX500/600. It is a significant task to write an editor for this and I have not found a software engineer willing to do this ................... yet.
Happy Ircloning,
Mike C
