I lost the remote control for my Toshiba SD3109 DVD player and am thinking of replacing it with a universal remote control instead of trying to find another Toshiba remote. Can someone tell me which functions are available if I buy an MX-1000 and use the preprogrammed buttons? Are all functions (in particular zoom and variable speed playback) available, or do these have to be learned, which I can't do without the original remote.

Thanks to all for any assitance you can provide.

I'd have to guess that some of the advanced functions will be missing. But you'd need to find another Toshiba owner to know for sure.
