Greg,

Where's the new version? The one on the HTM web site appears to be the same as before.

DJ,
always impatient for the next release ...

The MX Editor software has been updated to 1.02.

Available for Live Update. Everything else stays the same.

Current versions:

MX Editor - 1.02
Firmware - 1.96 (April 16, 2002)
IR Database - 1.45 (May 28, 2002)

Also, I have requested that the software be changed to have a dialog box pop up after Live Updating asking the user if he/she want to read the ReadMe file that would come with the download listing the Software Version Number, Firmware version, Universal Database version, bug fixes, and any features that may have been added.

Problems fixed in 1.02:

1) If you program a shortcut from a MAIN LCD button to a Macro on a DEVICE LCD button, it will not work. It now works.

2) A crashing bug when testing a learned IR code was fixed.

The new version will be posted on HTM's website for download.

Also, please be sure to check LiveUpdate each time you start MX Editor.

Greg,

Any news on shortcuts from a MAIN hard button to a Macro on a DEVICE LCD button? For some reason I have a couple that won't work, and others that do.

I find the prompt updates very encouraging. Most programmers will tell you to avoid any version that ends in ".0"

Sorry, DJ. That's what I meant. A MAIN hard button shortcut to an LCD button with a macro on it. This should work now.

You may have to recreate your macros.

Let me know if this works for you.

Ah! I tried redoing the shortcuts, which still didn't work - I'll try re-creating the macros and get back. Thanks for the clarification!

Oh, well - no joy :-(.

I re-created a macro with two TV commands on the TV device first page, then a shortcut to it on one of the MAIN hard buttons. But the MAIN button only triggers the first command of the macro. The two commands in the macro are LCD button commands on the same device, but different pages, in case that helps. I can send in a file with the configuration if they want it to debug.

Send me the configuration, DJ, and I'll forward it to the appropriate place.

But, let's get this thread back to its original intent - logging the updates to the software.

DJ: Start a new thread on the macro shortcut thing, and we'll take it from there, okay?
