I have a RF-20 remote with M100B blaster and my neighbor has the MX-650 with the MRF-250. Since I finally got everything up and running, my neighbor has been changing my channels on the cable box since they are the same. Right now all my equipment is in my cabinet so my kids will not get after them. I know my remote always sends RF/IR signals and can't be customized like the MX-650. Also, I realize my base can't be adjusted like the MRF-250. I did go over to my neighbors and change his base to 1 and ID numbers in his remote to 1, but his remote was still controlling my box. I did change the id in his remote to a different number than his base just to verify that I couldn't change anything on his system from a different room.
Am I just SOL or should changing his ID number should have done the trick.

The MRF-100 or whatever base station you use is not addressable. It will operate on ALL ID's.
Change your neighbors to an ID other than 0 for both the remote and base station. Then upgrade your base station to an MRF-250 and set it to an ID other than 0 and the one you changed on his.

Will my RF-20 work with the MRF-250. I will have to go back over and try it.

Whoops...my mistake...MRF-250 will only work with RF20 on ID 0, which will intefere with the neighbors.
No it won't work. Sorry...I don't know what I aws thinking.
You'll need an addressable remote AND an addressable receiver.
