I think that the dealer is allowed to pass this software on to the customer, but is not required to. I'm hoping to find someone who is willing, as a condition of the sale, to supply that software. It sounds to me like it is just finding a dealer who is willing to part with the software to secure a sale. We'll see, maybe that dealer does not exist.
I think I'm closing on finding that guy, but haven't yet...

correct. dealers are given CCP install discs that are meant for customer use. URC gives them the option to sell the software or give it to the customer. the only thing customers are not allowed is access to the URC control room. There is a secret dealer code needed to register at the control room and this is what dealers are not allowed to give out. try http://www.remotequest.com

Hey Guys, Thanks for the info.
cgav, I think I'll pass!
Duct tape, now I'm salivating for a secret dealer code!
I've been in touch with several vendors now, and I think I'm closing on it, CCP and all.
Cheers,
Jim

Just keep in mind that $1500 MSRP remote control will have a null and void warranty unless you buy it from an authorized dealer...

My offer for MSRP still stands.
I'm sure there are already some trunk-slammers here willing to lower themselves, though. Just remember, play with fire, you're going to get burned.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the ideas. I found an authorized dealer, and put in an order, CCP included. Looking forward to getting my hands on it!
I even coughed up for some of the URC Lutron dimmers, I think that will make a nice addition.
Of course, now that I settled that, I'm starting to feel a need for a new reciever... Sometimes the gadget lust just hits me!
