the remote for my str-sl7 sony receiver died and now i need one. if anyone has a used one lying around the house ill glady take it off your hands, or if anyone has a good heart and can lend it to me (ill pay shipping both ways) just so that i could program my RM-AV3000 i would glady appreciate it, i work for an adult company and can give you money or free goodies (dvds, or memberships) for your time and help.
i know this sounds kinda weird but im getting desperate (online they want 70$ for the remote!)

Doesn't your remote contain the codes for that piece already? I mean a Sony remote should do a Sony Receiver by default.

Springs, the STR-SL7 is stuck set to sony codeset AV2, there are no codes preset into any sony universal remotes for sony receivers set to AV2, only Av1. But most receivers can be switched from AV2 to AV1, but not in the case of the STR-SL7. : (

Damn... never knew that.

We use Sony receivers for second zone all the time and I pretty much ignore them. If I see a remote laying about I will grab it.
