Hi:
So has anyone discovered why during the upload/download process that the iProntoEdit software on my laptop only "finds" my iPronto about one time out of every 5 tries?
I don't have to change any settings, it just doesn't seem to be able to find it unless I make the attemp about five times on average.
I have about an 80% or better signal on both the PC and the iPronto. Using Linksys WAP w/signal booster network is DHCP.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave.

I cant help you with your problem. But how do you like your signal booster? Does it make a huge difference?
Thanks Chris

Chris:
I love it! At least a 50% improvement. Seems a little funny to gain that much improvement by only boosting one end, perhaps it bumps the gain on the receiving side too.
Regardless, it was one of the best $79 (buy.com) purchases I ever made. I recommend it highly!

I have the exact setup (the iPronto is close to the Linksys signal booster antennas) and it finds iPronto everytime/first time unless the iPronto is in sleep mode- I usually leave iPronto plugged in and sleep timeout set to 'always on' when programming/downloading so this does not happen

We just did a 4 story townhouse and the linksys 54G is on the ground floor. The booster gives us a 92% signal strength on the roof deck. My ipronto just freezes allt eh time, other than that........
