Would the IPronto be a step up from the Pronto 2000 in this application?

I am using a Pronto TSU-2000 to control an Ocelot. I am wondering if the iPronto could be considered a step-up replacemnet for the 2000.

I have no interest in interfacing with the Internet, nor downloading information, etc. I would (I think) only use it as a fancy remote.

Does this make any sense?

If you aren't interested in the Internet or downloading information, then wait for the Home Theater Master MX-3000, due out later this year. That is if you want a "fancy" remote. :-)

See here for some information and pictures of this remote.

I have not gotten one yet, but like you, it is not the web or the EPG that is interesting to me. What I like about it is 802.11b for programming, larger screen, color...

Does the MX-3000 do 802.11b?

Nope. It will also be just over half the price of the iPronto.
