Hi guys,

Given that the recent update to the iPronto doesn't really provide all that much useful in terms of functionality (as, let's face it, most of us don't re-program our iPronto's very often), I thought it would be good to put together an "official" wish list of (realistic) functions we, as users, would like to see implemented asap. And, since we know that the iPronto team frequents this forum, let's hope they pick up on what we actually want to see happen.

I'll start with a few points myself, and feel free to add to the list.

1. Support of UPnP in order to better control Streamium products and other media centres.
2. MP3 playback support, either via WiFi or MMC.
3. JPEG (and other standardised picture formats) viewing, either via WiFi (UPnP) or MMC.
4. A faster, more advanced browser. The current one is really ridicilously slow.
5. Microphone activation, in order to enable IP-telephony (co-op with Skype?) or possible voice control of the remote.

and...
6. Possibility of desactivation of automatic EPG update :)

note :
3. JPEG (and other standardised picture formats) viewing, either via WiFi (UPnP) or MMC.
It's already possbile to view an JPG picture via WiFi, on your PC after intalling a mini web server on it:

I know, Jean-Max, but would really like to see it work directly via an active UPnP server instead - simply to standardise matters, and reduce the number of running applications on the server. UPnP can, as you know, be made to work on the iPronto so it confuses me that Philips don't put more efforts into releasing an update with it for the remote. Perhaps someone from the dev team would like to comment on this?

7. Allow labeling of of the soft buttons.
8. Allow custom control of default displayed menus (look, feel, auto hide or hide, etc)

Just mentioning it again, please add any further functions you would like to see implemented to the iPronto. As the dev team most likely will see, there aren't that many obscure or difficult wishes we've come up with - merely basic functions promised in the marketing...
