Does anyone have a copy of the firmware for this device so i can try to set up a server so i can recover from the "SOFTWARE DAMAGED - REINSTALL SOFTWARE" error

Philips never released standalone files, and I'm not aware of anyone who managed to capture a copy from the update servers.

am aware they didnt release the firmware but there was a thread on this forum and am sure they said they had managed to dump the firmware

Don't recall that one, but if anyone had managed to dump it I'd have hoped they would send it to me so I could have put it in the file area for all (even if no one knew what to do with it yet!)
