We're going to need more details to help you. If you can't find discrete codes (search this forum for discussion upon discussion thereof) in the Harmony database, get back to us with a more specific description of how you go about selecting inputs.

I think i have the British version of this TV and have the same problem. Its the TH-42PV500. On the original remote you select Inuts I.e. AV1-4, Component etc by pressing one of the coloured buttons. This brings up a list of the AV channels on the screen and their corresponding colours i.e. AV1 press red. The problem comes because there are more than 4 inputs on the TV, sometimes, say for instance your were on AV1 and want to go to component you would press, one of the coloured buttons to bring up the display, then the blue button to go across to the next set of inputs then the yellow button for Component. Basically what i am saying is the final colour you press to select the input depends on what input you were on to start with.

The usual suggestion is to go into DEVICE mode for the TV and try all of the input commands there, and see if there are commands to go directly to each of the inputs. If so, re-run the characterization wizard for the device, and when it asks about the TV's inputs, choose the option that says that the original remote has one button for each input. When asked to provide the input command for each of the inputs, select the discrete command from the dropdown list. If there are no discrete commands in device mode for the various inputs, post back and we can go through other options.

Dan Device mode is where you can select TV, DVD or whatever on your remote (press the 'device' key first to view the list of your devices) to map the remote buttons to that one device only. Pages of additional commands will become accessible (by pressing the page scroll keys). Here you can view every command downloaded for that device ( this happened when you initially downloaded your configuration from the website and is a list of all possible commands related to your device, some from similar devices, which may/may not work). Ultimately, to save memory, you should delete those that don't work with your device. See also my response at ref input/colour commands.... [Link: avforums.com] Dave ;)

I had same problem with my Panasonic HD 500A Plasma for weeks, got no reply for ages from Harmony Support so worked it out from forum posts and my brain (whats left of it!). Found it was in the power delay and the need to put color buttons in twice). Delays Power on delay 3000 Interkey delay 300 Input delay 3000 inter-devise delay 1000 I go directly to input I want AV1 AV2 AV3 AV4 (I only use first 2 but put all in) I use these commands AV1 RED RED I use these commands AV2 GREEN GREEN I use these commands AV3 YELLOW YELLOW I use these commands AV4 BLUE BLUE (above put them in twice as I have them) on/off power toggle. Mine now goes no problems between my 6 activities - watch DVD / TV etc. Give above a try cheers from Australia

I am flicking through the av channels fine, apart from av1. When I go back to sky AV1 it will bring up sky and then change to TV. It also does when i switch it on, goes to av1 correctly and then changes to tv a couple of seconds later. The way mine works is by selecting, use the infared commands in the device menu and the following commands. For AV1 SetTV/AVOutput AV SetRed/Blue input Red SetInputType video1 Red For Component SetTV/AVOutput AV SetRedBlueInputBlue SetDigitalInputComponent Yellow ETC,ETC missed out AV2,AV3,AV4 should be obvious what you want from the examples above Need to ring the helpline about the TV/AV problem but i do feel like i am getting somewhere.
