Does anyone know how to use a Harmony 880 to control my bose Lifestyle 5 sound. I didnt want to buy a more expensive remote to do this and thought this would do it. I am aware that the bose is RF and thought maybe someone know of a a product to convert IR to RF so i can use my logitech Harmony remote. Any knowledge is appreciated.

Thanks

From the Harmony FAQ:

The Bose Lifestyle 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 systems are controlled by Radio Frequency (RF or UHF) and therefore cannot be controlled by the current range of remotes. To resolve this issue, use the Bose RF Controller (available at many electronics stores), which will take IR commands transmitted by your remote, translate them into RF commands, and will then send them to your system using your remote.

To set up the C-1024 converter to work with the remote:

Ensure the toggle switch on the back of the C-1024 converter is in the up position.

If the remote still does not control your Bose Lifestyle system, unplug and re-plug every cable and wire on the Bose system to ensure everything is securely connected.
