I tried this on my 676......

It worked best when I put the three activity buttons listed last.....I think they got reset like others mentioned before I did that.

When I first read this thread I was very pleased to find this can be done, but now I'm not so sure I want to try it. I've spent a lot of time configuring my remote to mess it all up. What do you say, should I try it?

I asked at Harmony support and they told me this couldn't be done, only with the 880, then I told them I've read it was being done and was told that it was a hack not supported by Logitech, but it seamed they already knew. Would it be much to ask this function to be available to all Harmony remotes. I guess that's what the extra $200 are for when you buy a 880 instead of a 628 ($39 for such a great remote is a real bargain).

This works on a 670 as well; just finished getting it all set. I should point out that the order that the menu items showed on the remote was different than what it showed on the website. This is due to the feature being designed for a different remote that put items in two columns. It's simple to figure out the order to set them though:

1) Use the link provided to get to the function within Logitech.
2) Put the items in the order you would like them and print the screen.
3) Save the settings, update your remote and you will notice that they are in a different order on your remote.
4) Using the printout you made, make notes as to which position items actually posted to. This will be your mapping to know how to order the activities. For example, if the activity listed in the third position on the Logitech page posts first on your remote, then you would simply put the item you want to post first on your remote in the third position and so on.

This all worked great on my 670; other than that no issues whatsoever.

Still no problems with the 670?
Did you put the 3 activities that are mapped to the hard buttons in the last three positions, as some have suggested?

Hey I just found this thread

Worked like a charm first time for me - 680. Glad I had all of the tips others have relayed. I have a TV and front projector within the same setup so I have a lot of activities since each typical activity is repeated depending on what I want to view.

I wish they had a re-order for the softkeys when inside an activity.

It really makes you wonder why this function is not part of regular setup for all remotes. Must have something to do with the dedicated activity buttons.

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but I didn't see an option to reorder the activities on my 670 (using the above link). Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Joe

Worked on my 670.

I did have a problem where my custom buttons for my Watch TV activity were erased, but I was able to put them back in easily. Not sure if this occurred because of this reorder hack, or because I began using the Firefox add-on at the same time...

I must be doing something wrong here, I log in via my account and then paste the URL above (into a new window, new tab and same window) and all it does is take me back to the login page.

Maybe the hack does not work on the 620. It still works fine on my 659.

Thanks for the response ... it's not that critical. If any 620 owners have done this hack please let me know.

Need some help here. I did this hack with my 670 almost a year ago. Just updated the firmware on the remote and now the activity buttons have been reassigned and I can't change them using the Harmony software. Also, the URL in the first post no longer works for my 670. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe someone has a different URL that might work for the 670? Thanks...

There has been a bug in the software for the 600 series remotes for the last 3 months after you do an update for your remote. Logitech is supposed to be putting out an update around the end of the month. You can contact Logitech directly and they can fix your problem on a one to one bases
