When can we expect a review of the new model? I'd like to see a review on this site before ordering.

Thanks.

well first a design needs to be finalized, then a remote needs to be sent to Daniel, then he needs to find the time and play with it, then he needs to write it. So definitely not before the remote comes out, and probably not for a few months after that

Crikey.... I was hoping to read a review soon, because it looks like this remote is the answer to all the shortcomings of the first version.

But, it would be nice to hear what others think before shelling out another $200 (after rebate).

I really need those number keys!

Since the new remote uses the same software and internet programming as the previous model, the only operational difference will be the extra buttons. The remote has a more solid feel to it (construction quality seems to be very good), and the buttons have a polished finish to them. I think you'll find that most of Daniel's review of the original remote applies to this one as well, with the addition of the most oft-used hard buttons. I'm looking forward to trying one out. :-)

I have not seen or touched one, but like Mike said, it is based on the older remote. So if what you want from it is the old harmony + keypad, then that you are definitely getting. The only question is will it have anything more? That I don't know, but except if it is something the old harmony cannot handle, I would assume new features will be added to both

Nope -- I don't have the new Harmony yet. But I was promised as soon as there's a final version (they still had some design tweaking to do from feedback at CEDIA).
