I have had this dvd player for over 3 years. Recently during playback the screen will go black and the sound will go off. It is attached to a Panasonic TV thru HDMI cable. If I put my hand on top of the player in a certain spot and press, the playback will restart and I can watch the whole dvd usually without further problem.
It is usually in an area near where the dvd disc itself is situated inside the player. Any thoughts? Or should I just buy another?

If replacing the HDMI cable won't fix the issue, the player should be serviced.
