The document that was forwarded to me that I decoded looked like it came from Sanyo. There were numerous models that all had the same discrete power commands and most used the same commands posted above. The PLV-60 uses these commands.

BTW, I have a larger command set if you need something else.

Since I don't have the hardware, I don't post the commands in the discrete section but IIRC someone later confirmed that they worked by email.

Do you happen to have a discrete code to access the service menu? (Instead of holding the "up" cursor for 20 +/- seconds).

By the way, I programmed the codes into my Pronto and they work great. Although, I would use the power off discrete with discretion and you do not want to accidentally turn off your projector.

I agree that one should use caution with discrete off or on commands for projectors. The toggle commands ususally take a very long button press but apparently in this case Off executes immediately. Since needless power cycles will reduce bulb life, I recommend only using them only in macros like a master Home Theater On and Off or even better yet a combination button push or a confirmation step

I'll put this here as a complete "message in a bottle" on the off chance that someone with Sanyo projector knowledge can help.

I'm using the Sanyo PLC-5500NA projector. Somewhat old, and not the ideal home theater projector, but it gets the job done. I was playing with some discrete codes I downloaded from Remote Central ("san-porj-xp.zip") and managed to "break" my projector. Yes, I know I'm a dumbass. What I've done is remove "Video" from the list of input sources. Where once pushing "Mode" cycled through Computer 1, Computer 2 and Video, now it's just Computer 1 and Computer 2. For the record, I was flipping through the codes looking for the Select, Up and Down codes, so I could go through the menu system on the Pronto. Also, I did manage to "fix" the problem by poking around the codes close to the one I think screwed me. By "fix" I mean that I managed to get the projector back into Video mode...it's just that video is still not on the list, so if I ever hit "Mode" on the projector again, I need to fiddle around with the codes again with my fingers crossed.

Now, my projector is not among the XP series, but many of the codes work (Power, for example). So, my question is...is there some sort of "master reset" for the XP series that I can do, to reset all the settings on the projector?
