Logitech's code set for this receiver, weirdly, does not include INPUT TV (which would take audio from ARC or the optical input, depending on how you have the receiver configured, though it has the discretes for every other input under the sun on this device. My attempts to get Logitech and Yamaha to talk to each other have been met with "okay, try this. No? Try this. Okay, now try these four." and while I laud them for sticking with it, they're clearly shooting in the dark.

Does anyone have an idea how I might find a working INPUT TV for this thing? Is there a (relatively) inexpensive way for me to get a USB "infrared logger" for my PC so I could do the detective work myself? (Can you do such things with a FLIRC receiver?)

Thanks for any help. :)

Hmm, I am not seeing a way to attach files here, but I've got something potentially relevant to the interests of many....

....Yamaha sent me their PDF documents for the standard and extended IR codes for the RX-V?A / TSR-700 series. They are in a format like this (using the TV code as an example:)

TV: (ID1: 7F01-146B) (ID2: 7F01-146A)

Is that sufficient information to be useful to a code hunter? A lot of the stuff I saw posted were Pronto codes. Can the above be converted given the information we DO have about the remote (as a result of being in Harmony's database?)

Since they can't be attached, where would be a good place to squirrel these away?

Aha, thanks much! I assume that's a Pronto code at that point? It definitely looks like one. (And I further assume there's no clever way to get that into a Harmony remote anymore?)

Each code in these sheets have an ID1 and ID2. Are they both necessary for a given command?
