Hello, I’m trying to find discrete power on/off codes for my Sony BDP-S1700 Blu-ray and have tried many to no avail. That said, I know these commands exist as they work perfectly from the iOS Roomie Remote app, however I haven’t figured out how to extract them from Roomie. Would appreciate any help 😀

Yes, I’ve tried these and sadly they don’t work for this model.

That’s a fairly low end model, probably outsourced - it’s possible the programming simply doesn’t include discrete codes. It’s Also possible they changed codes, but without the ability to see what a standard code looks like, I can’t suggest much.

Actually, I do have some working codes for this model, just not the discrete power commands. I know they exist as Roomie Remote uses these discrete codes for on/off and they work perfectly, I just can’t find a way to extract them.

What will you be using these codes with? Can you post any hex from the model in question?

I’m using these codes with a Global Cache Itach. I’ve included a working learned IR code for this model below:
Power Toggle:
0000 0067 0000 0015 0060 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0207
I appreciate any help!

Yes, please. I’m hoping I would find working codes somewhere within these 128 codes?
Thanks for the help!

The code you posted is the expected Sony power toggle from the BD codeset I referenced earlier. If the standard discrete codes posted there don't work, it's unlikely any other code would work.

Can you use the "Play" button to power it on?
If so, the sequence "Play, Power Toggle" will power it off.

I know the discrete power codes do exist as they work from the Roomie Remote app. I just don’t know how or if the could be identified or extracted from the app. The only other thing I can think of would be to try learn the code produced by Roomie Remote.

I used to own a Sony BDP-S1700. The discrete On/Off codes linked to in Post #2 do work with this model.

Strange, as those discrete codes don’t work for me...
