Does anyone have any codes that work with the ancient Cambridge Audio A500? I have lost the original remote so can't learn them and not sure what is available apart from Vol+/Vol- but anything anyone can help me with would be massively appreciated.

Thanks!
Marc

According to post #5 in this thread , UEI setup code Audio 1730 (31730) will work.
That's RC-5

Button name, device (system), function number (command)
0 31 0
1 16 4
2 16 5
3 16 3
4 16 1
5 16 2
6 16 0
vol up 16 16
vol down 16 17
mute 16 13
power 16 14

System 16 is the standard in  RC-5 for preamplifiers, and the command numbers are also standard for Vol+/-.  Probably the number keys select an input of some sort.

What format do you need to try these?

They are actually going into a Crestron remote, which can take a Pronto learned code in hex.

I am out on the edges of my understanding of IR here. I have converted many learned IR codes from my old TSU7000, cutting and pasting between ProntoPro Edit NG and Crestron's IR file creation program, Deal, but I don't know how to do this for RC5 codes.

Can you help by any chance?

Hopefully yours...

this is a typical RC5 code in ProntoHex

5000 0000 0000 0001 0010 000c

The last two words refer to the above list provided by 3FG

This example would be device 16 (10 in Hex) function 12 (0c in Hex)

simply replace the '10' and the '0c' in the above example with the commands in the above list.

example:
digit 5= 5000 0000 0000 0001 0010 0002

these 'short' hex codes work within ProntoEdit, not sure on the Crestron.

Apologies, please scratch the above, a search of the site revealed utilities to perform the desired function and whaddaya know, it worked. Well, at least I have volume up/down, the other functions don't seem to have any effect.

Many thanks
Marc
