HI there,

I have been trying to convert pronto ir codes over for global cache without any luck. i can successfully program buttons from the pioneer remote because i can increase the gap size to make it work during learning, but the shorter pronto codes i happened to find at the manufacturer website don't work at all. has anyone had any luck getting pioneer AV receiver discrete IR codes to with with the itch wf2ir?

another weird thing is that my pioneer receiver shows vsx820 on the front and vsx920k on the back. are all units like this?

i have been using with no luck:
power off:
0000 006d 0000 0022 0155 00ac 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0594

Your Pronto Hex is shooting at 38KHz, but should be at 40KHz.  Why not use the 820 codes available here?

They'll give you the correct frequency.  For example
Off -- Pioneer IR protocol, device 165, function 27
0000 0068 0000 0022 0168 00b4 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0043 0016 0043 0016 0043 0016 06d9

Try using the 821 codes. There was an issue with the timing gap (I think that's the proper term) with some models and I corrected it for the x21 models.
They call me the "Thread Killer". Just watch!

i am not sure about the code above because I actually found another solution. what i had was a old pronto remote that already had the discrete code programmed into my macro. I made the Itach wf2ir learn the entire macro and i just cut pieces off of it where I think was the end and start of the next code in the chain. what i noticed is that Itach generally ends a code with a 4 digit number and starts the next code with a 3 digit number ( in my case 342 ). Then I pasted the code with a prefix of "sendir,:,1,,,1," and this works. I changed the frequency to what I was getting from my pioneer remote because I figured it would be the same frequency anyways.

below is what I have:

pioneer VSX-920K pronto hex: (keep in mind that I do not have the original pronto discrete codes of these so they were actually converted from GC format with iConvert.exe from their website)

power off:
