I have a spreadsheet that has tons of discreet codes for Onkyo AVR's including a model similar to mine. What I cannot remember or figure out is how to use the hex codes in the sheet in old ProntoEdit so I can program my old pronto in order to teach other remotes.

In case the link doesn't work or you don't want to dig it up, how would I use this information:

Pronto Code ID1:
0000
Pronto Code ID2:
0000
Pronto Code ID3:
0000
Code for PowerOn:
D26D 04

I have the ancient ProntoEdit4.0.5 which works to dump stuff into an old Pronto. I need the long string from the above info and can't seem to sort out which tool I should use.

Thanks for any help!

Click on cell C5 (the 0000 in the column that says "for ID1"). Then the entire long string will show in the formula bar.

D26D 04 says this is device 210.109 function 4, and there are conversion programs that will make this into Pronto Hex, but you don't need to-- the Pronto Hex is in the spreadsheet.

3FG,

Thank you! I want to just pull a Homer and say D'oh! I never even looked to see that that codes were right there in the sheet. Bad case of trees, forest, etc. Thanks again for sorting out my empty skull.

Cheers!
Paul
